I am a cynical person and my hubs are often inspired by current events that happen in my life. At the moment it's defending my garden against intruding slugs! Some of my hubs are critical but most are just intended to be funny and entertaining. I am definitely a bad weather hubber and soon my hammock will come out again and my laptop will go into hibernation.  My motto is ‘live life to the fullest and laugh a lot’. I am a keen traveler who was born and raised in Switzerland. In my early 20s I started exploring the world and lived in London (England), Cape Town (South Africa), Brazil, the Caribbean, the USA, Australia and Canada. In South Africa I met my husband and soul mate who shares my enthusiasm for traveling. In 2008 we immigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada where we live close to nature on a lake and have finally put down roots. My main hobbies besides traveling are writing, cooking and baking, gardening and outdoor sports. I have published 5 articles in the European travel magazine ‘Globetrotter’ and only got onto hubpages last year. So far I find it a thrilling experience which inspires my creativity. I'm amazed that I have attracted over 10'000 readers so far. Finally I have found a tool to share my ideas and experiences with like minded people.
